Warren County Park District Photo Contest 2025

Celebrating the unique beauty and character of our people, parks, facilities, programs, and special events. Whether it’s a quiet moment in a shaded park, an action shot from a sporting event, a snapshot from one of our nature programs, or the joy of a fun-filled community event, we’re looking for photos that capture the beauty, energy, and spirit of our Warren County Park District.

Contest Dates

• Submissions Open: Monday, August 4, 2025 at 8am

• Submission Deadline: Monday, September 15, 2025 at 5pm

• Winners Announced: Early October

Who Can Enter

• Adult category is open to individuals 16 years or older on 9/15/25.

• Youth category is open to kids 15 and under.

• Participants under 18 years old require parent or guardian permission.

• Participants must be the original creators of the photos and own full legal rights to each image.

• Park District employees, park commissioners, and their immediate family members are not eligible.

Judging Criteria

Submissions will be judged on content, image quality, composition, creativity, emotion, storytelling, and connection to the park experience (tell your park story).

Judging & Public Voting

• Initial judging will be conducted by Park District staff who will narrow entries to the top five submissions in each category.

• Photos and online voting will then be posted on WarrenCountyParks.com and social media. The public will be invited to vote for the winner in each category.

Awards & Recognition

The top three photographs in each category will receive prizes as follows:

1. First prize: Season golf or fishing pass for 2026

2. Second prize: Free boat rental or 18 holes golf

3. Third prize: Free fishing pass or 9 holes golf

The top three photographs in each category (18 photos total) will be featured:

• In a digital gallery on our website, social media, Armco Park display monitors, and e-blast

• Public exhibit during Hisey Fall Fest

Submission Guidelines

To ensure your entry is eligible, please follow these guidelines:

• This contest is open to all photographers, both amateur and professional. All rights transfer to Park District upon submission.

• You may enter up to 10 photos.

• Only photos taken in Warren County Park District parks, facilities, or during Park District programs/events are eligible. Photos taken in non-WCPD parks (such as Miller Eco Park, Kingswood Park, or Caesar Creek State Park) are not eligible unless they are of a Park District program. If you’re not sure, check out this list of eligible locations.

• Only digital photographs will be accepted

• Full color photos only

• Photos must be high resolution (no less than 300dpi) in jpg or png format

• No watermarks, filters, highly edited, or AI-generated images are permitted

• Photos must have been taken within one year of the submission date

• Any submissions that violate copyright laws are not eligible

Please note that parks are considered public places and as such, there is no reasonable expectation of privacy. However, we urge photographers to respect others’ wishes regarding whether or not they want photos taken of themselves or their children.  

How to Submit

• This is a digital-only photo contest. All entries must be submitted through our official online form on our website. Submissions sent by email, flash drive, or in printed form will not be accepted.

• WCPD is not responsible for any data loss or file misplacement during the upload process. We strongly recommend backing up your files before submitting your entry.

We reserve the right to pick your photo as a winner in a different category if it fits into more than one category.

Rights & Permissions

By submitting photo(s) using this form, you certify that the work you are submitting is your own and is not in violation of any copyright laws or rules. You further attest that the images you are submitting were taken within the last calendar year, were not generated by artificial intelligence (AI), have not been filtered or highly edited, and do not contain watermarks.  

By entering this contest, you are granting the Warren County Park District an irrevocable, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use the submitted photographs (or altered versions thereof) in WCPD publications, marketing materials, and digital platforms, with or without attribution. You retain ownership of your original work.
