Outdoor recreation offerings dovetail with our large, more well-known attractions to reinforce and support Warren County’s position as Ohio’s Largest Playground. We have so much for visitors to see and do here in Warren County and parks are a significant part of that landscape.
Creating spaces for children and families to spend time together, outdoors and away from technology, strengthens parent-child relationships, reduces family conflict, and increases family connectedness. Further, kids are spending time together and playing outside, which strengthens connections with peers and develops a commitment to learning.
WCPD has an amazing impact on our community with Tech-Free Tuesdays. We proudly partner with them to support environmental education because we see firsthand the engagement and positive reactions of families that attend these unique programs.
The Friends of Warren County Park District feel that Tech-Free Tuesdays are a wonderful investment of our sponsorship dollars and volunteer hours. The children participating are engaged, learning and spending time in a wonderful natural setting.
What I love most is getting out into nature and enjoying fresh air and a change of scenery with my loved ones. At Armco, I enjoy that the park is clean and well cared for and safe to enjoy with my family. We enjoy the playgrounds, picnic shelters, and gazebos.
Looking for wildlife is what I enjoy most. The most enjoyable park experience is being away from people just enjoying nature around me.
