Water Rescue Basics of Kayaking at Caesar Creek State Park

Come learn the basics of flat water kayaking, from general strokes to proper gear, and learn water rescue techniques for if your boat flips, or you need to re-enter your boat when out on the water, all while enjoying the nature at Caesar Creek Lake. Participants will be getting in and out of the water and their kayaks during the class. This program is led by Ohio Certified Kayak Instructors from Warren SWCD, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, and Warren County Park District. For ages 14 and up (under 18 requires a participating adult to accompany them during the program). Program is FREE but space is LIMITED. Registration required.

Participants will be in sit- in or sit-on-top, single kayaks.  All boats, paddles, life jackets will be provided.  ​
