Golf Carts Return to Armco Park Golf Course
Warren County Park District is pleased to announce that golf carts have returned to Armco Park Golf Course following the April 14 fire that damaged the course’s cart barn and destroyed the fleet of rental carts stored inside.
Rental cart service resumed at 3:00 PM today, May 12, 2026 after Park District staff worked quickly to restore operations and secure temporary accommodations for the course.
The recovery effort included leasing replacement carts, renting a large tent structure to protect the carts from the weather, establishing temporary electrical infrastructure to charge electric carts, and completing the necessary permits and inspections to safely resume service.
“We are incredibly grateful for the patience and support shown by our golfing community over the past several weeks,” said Matt Latham, Executive Director of the Warren County Park District. “Our staff and partners worked tirelessly to get carts back into service as quickly as possible, and we’re excited to continue welcoming golfers back to the course.”
The April 14 fire was limited to the cart barn portion of the facility. The pro shop sustained little to no damage, and no injuries were reported. Armco Park Golf Course remained open for walking play during the recovery period and has now returned to full service operation.
