Softball Complex Operating Season April 1 - October 31

Overview
The Armco Park Softball Complex features four lighted diamonds with synthetic turf infields, electronic scoreboards, and a public address system. The complex will accommodate youth baseball up to age 12 and all types of softball. The outfield fences are approximately 300 feet. Bases can be placed at 60, 65, or 70 foot intervals. The complex features a concession stand operated by Cin-Day Cafe that includes alcoholic beverages for sale Monday-Saturday.
Tips for planning your visit:
- There is a $3 admission fee at the gate for all participants 16 years of age and older. Some organizers and events may charge a higher fee, but only $3 of that fee goes to the Park District.
- Pets are not allowed in the softball complex (except service animals under the Amercians with Disabilities Act).
- Food, beverages, and coolers may not be brought in, except for water and fruit.
Slow Pitch Leagues
The Park District offers recreational mens and co-ed adult slow pitch softball leagues April through October. Mens leagues are offered on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings, and co-ed leages are offered on Fridays.
Sign-ups are by team. Team managers click here to view the session schedule and sign up online. League fee is $330 per team, which must be paid at least 10 days before the session starts. Early sign-ups more than 10 days in advance are eligible to put down a 20% deposit to secure their spot using the "pay later" option (not available on mobile devices).
There is an umpire fee of $15 per team per game, payable in cash only directly to the umpire at game time. The complex also charges a $3 admission fee at the gate for all participants and spectators 16 years of age and older.

Softball Complex Reservations
We hope you’ll consider the Armco Park Softball Complex for your next tournament or event. The complex can be reserved Friday-Sunday and on weekdays when not being used for leagues. Concession services are offered by our partner Cin-Day Cafe for most events.
Reservations fill up fast, so please book well in advance. We offer two windows each year for organizers to submit requests using our online reservation system, and the Park District uses pre-determined criteria to select which organizer can reserve the complex for weekends where there are multiple requests. After the request window closes, first come-first served reservations are accepted for unfilled time slots.

There is a two-tier structure for reservation fees. The standard price assumes that the Park District will collect the $3 gate admission fee from all participants 16 years of age and older. The Gate Fee Buyout Option is an optional higher rate that can be paid if the organizer prefers for the Park District to not collect a gate fee.

The Park District requires organizations reserving the complex to provide a liability insurance certificate naming the Park District as additional insured and to name the Park District in their participant waiver or use the Park District's waiver.
